One step two tone nails

I decided to brighten up the dark winter days with some colourful nails and tried this easy two-tone polish.
You can use any two or three colours, but I chose two pinks (of course).

What you'll need

Base coat (Manicare Glamnails in Ice Ice Baby)
White polish (Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in 300 White On)
First colour (The Face Shop Nail Colour in RD 303)
Second colour (OPI Nail Laquer in Pink Friday)
Top coat (Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat)
Any cheap make up sponge (got the cheapest one in the supermarket!)

Lets begin

1. Apply base coat. This prevents nails from getting stained yellow and protects them.

2. Apply a thin coat of white polish. This acts as a base for the other colours, making them appear brighter.

3. Dab some of the first colour on the top corner of the sponge. This will go on the tops of your nails.
4. Dab some of the second colour below the first colour. This will go on the tips of your nails.

5. Now dab the sponge on one nail. Don't move the sponge around, just dab once, check the nail, and keep dabbing until the whole nail is covered (and some of the skin too!)

6. Add more polish to the brush and dab the next nail. Keep repeating until all nails are done.
7. Apply the top coat. This will help smooth the polish and blend the colours together in the middle.
8. Clean up around the sides of the nails with a cotton bud dipped in nail polish remover.
9. Add glitter polish to one nail if you wish! (I did, but I think it looks better as is)

I really like the look of this, and if you add a third colour in the middle, you can do gradation nails.
It's so easy to do and I'm definitely going to play around with more colours!
Hope you try it!
